SUMMARY:Cricket: The Hundred 2022
DESCRIPTION:Cricket competition The Hundred returns for its second year in summer 2022 in England and Wales.  \nFixtures for the 2022 men’s and women’s competitions have been announced. The men’s action starts on Wednesday 3 August with Southern Brave vs. Welsh Fire at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton and women’s fixtures begin on Thursday 11 August with Oval Invincibles vs. Northern Superchargers at The Kia Oval in London. \nThere will be a double header for the finals on Saturday 3 September at Lord’s in London. The women’s final begins at 3pm and the men’s final is at 6.30pm.  \nThe entertainment line-up for 2022 features bands such as Bastille\, who will headline the final at Lord’s. Up-and-coming UK artists such as Samm Henshaw\, Jordan Mackampa\, Priya Ragu\, L’Objectif and Phoebe Green will also be performing. \nIn 2021 more than 500\,000 tickets were sold. Among these\, the ascent of the mythical Angliru stands out\, symbolising the modern race’s difficulty. The race also includes a significant individual time trial in Valladolid\, paying homage to the Vuelta’s inaugural finish in 1935. \nThe opening stages in Italy set a varied tone: \n\nStage 1 (23 August): A 200km flat route from Turin to Novara\, favouring sprinters.\nStage 2 (24 August): Covering 157km from Alba to Limone Piemonte\, this stage features a flat terrain with an uphill finale\, offering opportunities for climbers to make early gains.\nStage 3 (25 August): A 139km medium mountain stage from San Maurizio Canavese to Ceres\, introducing the peloton to the race’s first significant climbs.\n\nThe peloton comprises 22 teams\, each fielding eight riders\, totaling 176 participants. SUMMARY:One Water Race
DESCRIPTION:One Water Race\, a concept that aims to establish the world’s toughest endurance event\, will take place from 23-25 August 2022 in the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. The event will see participants take on one of sport’s toughest challenges: a 250km race\, the distance of six marathons\, by running (200km) and swimming (50km). \nStarting at Arholma in the north of Sweden\, the first to reach Landsort in the south is crowned the winner. Running and swimming are the only methods of movement. There is a maximum of ten teams\, each team consists of three racers and a team captain\, with both sexes needing to be represented and be out on the course the entire time.
