SUMMARY:2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Fiba Basketball World Cup is the first ever to be hosted by multiple countries – Philippines\, Japan and Indonesia. Taking place from 25 August to 10 September 2023\, the 32-nation men’s basketball tournament will be held at five venues in three host cities: \n\nOkinawa Arena – Okinawa\, Japan\nIndonesia ArenA – Jakarta\, Indonesia\nAraneta Coliseum – Manila\, Philippines\nMall of Asia Arena – Manila\, Philippines\nPhilippine Arena – Manila\, Philippines\n\n \nOver the 17 days there will be 92 games in total. The first round group phase will see eight groups of four teams. From each group the top two teams will qualify for the second round and the bottom two teams will play the classification round for places 17-32. \nIn the second round group phase\, there will be four groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The bottom two teams from each group are eliminated and ranked in places 9-16. \nThe entire final phase from 5-10 September – quarter-finals\, classification games\, semi-finals and final – will take place at the Philippine Arena in Manila.
