DESCRIPTION:Postponed from 2021\, the women’s rugby union World Cup will be held in New Zealand from 8 October to 12 November 2022. The host venues are Eden Park in Auckland; Northland Events Centre in Whangarei; and Waitakere Stadium in Auckland. \nThere will be 12 nations competing in the Rugby World Cup and they have been drawn into three pools. The tournament kicks off at Eden Park on 8 October with South Africa taking on France in Pool C. \nPool-stage fixtures will be played across six matchdays between 8-23 October. The four quarter-finals will be played on 29 and 30 October\, with Northland Events Centre in Whangarei hosting the first and second and Waitakere Stadium in Auckland hosting the third and fourth. \nBoth semi-finals on 5 November and the bronze match and final on 12 November will all be played at Eden Park. \n \nImage: rugbyworldcup.com

DESCRIPTION:Postponed from 2021\, the men’s\, women’s and wheelchair Rugby League World Cups will be held from 15 October to 19 November 2022 in England. There will be a total 61 matches across the three tournaments. \nRLWC will kick-off on Saturday 15 October at St James’ Park in Newcastle with England vs. Samoa in the men’s tournament. The first women’s fixture is between England and Brazil on Tuesday 1 November at Headingley Stadium in Leeds. And the opening fixture of the wheelchair tournament is Spain vs. Ireland on Thursday 3 November at the Copper Box Arena in London. \nManchester will host all three finals\, starting with the wheelchair final at Manchester Central on Friday 18 November. Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium will then host a women’s and men’s double-header final on Saturday 19 November. DESCRIPTION:Australia will be the focus of the cricketing world when it hosts the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Taking place from 16 October to 13 November\, the world’s best players from 16 teams will play 45 matches in what will be the biggest global sporting event to be hosted in Australia in 2022. \nMatches will be played in Adelaide (Adelaide Oval)\, Brisbane (The Gabba)\, Geelong (Kardinia Park Stadium)\, Hobart (Bellerive Oval)\, Melbourne (MCG)\, Perth (Perth Stadium) and Sydney (SCG). Australia will go into the eighth edition of the men’s event as defending champions after winning their maiden ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2021\, defeating New Zealand in the final.  \nThe opening fixture of the tournament will see Sri Lanka take on Namibia on Sunday 16 October at Kardinia Park in Geelong. The final on Sunday 13 November will be held at the MCG in Melbourne. \nIt will be the first time Australia has hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup\, following on from a record-breaking women’s event in 2020 that culminated in 86\,174 fans attending the final at the MCG on International Women’s Day. \nAustralia was originally scheduled to host the event in 2020\, before it was postponed due to Covid-19 and October and November 2022. \nSee more at t20worldcup.com
