Rugby union: The Varsity Matches 2022

The Oxford and Cambridge men and women rugby union teams go head to head at Twickenham Stadium in London on Saturday 2 April 2022. The 2022 Varsity Matches mark the 150th anniversary of the first meeting between the universities.
The first Varsity Match was played at The Parks, Oxford, on 10 February 1872 when Oxford won 1-0 in a 20-a-side match. The current men’s series stands at 64-61 in favour of Cambridge, with 14 matches drawn, while Oxford lead 21-13 in the women’s series that dates back to 1988.
