Horse racing fans planning a trip to the Kentucky Derby in 2027 can enjoy premium hospitality, exclusive trackside access and a range of travel experiences, including bourbon distillery tours and visits to thoroughbred farms.
Derby Experiences, the official experience package provider to Churchill Downs, has unveiled two-day packages for the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby, taking place in Louisville, Kentucky, on 30 April and 1 May 2027.
Combining premium race-day seating with all-inclusive hospitality, the packages offer visitors a chance to experience one of America’s most iconic sporting occasions while exploring the wider region.
What do the Kentucky Derby 2027 packages include?
A range of hospitality experiences are available across Churchill Downs, including the Clubhouse, Homestretch, paddock and finish-line areas.
At the Woodford Reserve Paddock Club, guests can watch horses preparing for the races from reserved tables overlooking the paddock and paddock runway.
The package also includes access to the paddock lawn through a private tunnel, a trackside viewing area beside the Winner’s Circle, gourmet dining, premium drinks and scheduled bourbon and wine tastings.
For fans seeking elevated views, the Turf Club offers reserved seating above the finish line, floor-to-ceiling windows, chef-curated buffets and a private covered balcony overlooking the paddock and Churchill Downs’ famous Twin Spires.
Meanwhile, the Homestretch Club combines reserved outdoor seating close to the racing action with indoor hospitality, live entertainment, dining and a premium open bar.
Explore Kentucky beyond the racetrack
Visitors can also turn their Derby weekend into a longer sporting getaway with optional tours exploring Kentucky’s horse racing heritage and bourbon culture.
The Mint Julep Sunset Social on 29 April includes a visit to Hermitage Farm, cocktail-making and a Southern-style dinner.
Other excursions include the Bourbon Country Tour, visiting Maker’s Mark and Heaven Hill distilleries, and the Horse Country Tour, exploring Hermitage Farm and Kismet Thoroughbred Farms.
Three-night hotel packages from 29 April to 2 May are also available, with accommodation options including the Omni Louisville Downtown and Galt House, alongside round-trip transfers to Churchill Downs.
Belmont Stakes returns to New York in 2027
Horse racing travellers can also look ahead to the 159th Belmont Stakes, taking place on 4-5 June 2027 at the renovated Belmont Park in Elmont, New York, following three years at Saratoga.
Official Belmont Experiences packages include premium hospitality at Silks, The Stretch View and Triple Crown Dining, featuring track views, dining and open bars. Select packages also offer VIP paddock tours or Winner’s Circle photo opportunities.
Optional three-night hotel stays from 3–6 June, with racecourse transfers, allow visitors to combine the final leg of the Triple Crown with a New York City break.
