Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus unveils its new Racket Club

Aphrodite Hills Resort has strengthened its reputation as one of Europe’s leading sports tourism destinations with the opening of its new Racket Club, part of a wider investment programme across the luxury Cyprus resort.

Officially unveiled in May 2026, the fully renovated facility features upgraded tennis and padel courts, contemporary changing rooms, a dedicated retail space and a new Healthy Bar serving wellness-focused food and drinks. The development forms part of a broader enhancement strategy that also includes an upgraded gym, new dining concepts and continued investment in the resort’s golf facilities.

Nestled along Cyprus’s southwestern coast near Paphos, Aphrodite Hills is a luxury integrated resort combining world-class sport, wellness, accommodation and leisure experiences. Named after the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite, the destination offers an escape for travellers seeking relaxation, recreation and cultural discovery.

Spanning 234 hectares, the resort includes a 290-room hotel, a championship 18-hole golf course, rental and real estate opportunities, a tennis academy, award-winning spa facilities, diverse dining and shopping options, horse riding facilities and kids’ clubs.

Sporting facilities

Aphrodite Hills is renowned for its sporting amenities, making it a haven for sports enthusiasts and active travellers. At its heart lies the award-winning Aphrodite Hills Golf Course, an 18-hole championship layout designed by renowned architect Cabell B. Robinson. The course features dramatic Mediterranean views, challenging fairways and meticulously maintained greens suitable for players of all abilities.

Golf investment continues across the resort, including a new academy featuring Cyprus’s first Trackman driving range technology, providing advanced performance analysis and coaching opportunities.

Racquet sports are another major attraction. Aphrodite Hills was the first resort in Cyprus to introduce padel courts and recently unveiled its new-look Racket Club following an extensive refurbishment. The facility now features four upgraded clay tennis courts, five hard courts and three renovated padel courts with new Mondo turf surfaces designed to enhance performance and durability.

The Racket Club also includes a Healthy Bar, contemporary changing facilities and a retail boutique stocking premium brands including Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Collection, Hugo Boss, Wilson, On, J.Lindeberg and Lacoste. Professional coaching programmes and social events further enhance the experience for guests and members.

Aphrodite Hills has also hosted exclusive training camps with sporting icons. In 2025, mixed martial arts legend Royce Gracie held a jiu-jitsu and multi-sports camp in conjunction with SOHA Retreats, while former Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey hosted football coaching sessions in partnership with Masters Football UK and Dream Team Soccer School.

Activities

Adventurers and fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a wide range of outdoor pursuits, including hiking and cycling trails that wind through the resort’s scenic landscapes and natural beauty.

The Riding Club offers lessons, trail rides and horse boarding for equestrian enthusiasts, while the upgraded Retreat Gym features state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, complemented by indoor and outdoor pools and wellness facilities.

Beyond sport, Aphrodite Hills offers a variety of leisure experiences:

  • Cultural and historical tours exploring nearby archaeological sites and ancient ruins.
  • Spa and wellness experiences, including holistic treatments, hydrotherapy and massages.
  • Water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving in the Mediterranean.
  • Family-friendly activities and a dedicated kids’ club offering supervised sports, crafts and entertainment.

Dining continues to evolve across the resort, with recent additions including Nusan, an Asian fusion restaurant inspired by Japanese and Southeast Asian cuisines, alongside a new Italian restaurant, further enhancing Aphrodite Hills’ appeal as a complete active lifestyle destination.
