Cycling: 2025 Giro d’Italia – Tour of Italy

Taking place from 9 May to 1 June, the 108th edition of the Giro d'Italia is an annual multiple-stage cycling race primarily held in Italy, while also passing through other countries. The Giro is one of professional cycling's three-week-long Grand Tours, and after the Tour de France is the second most important stage race in the world. Spanning over 3,400km, this Grand Tour will challenge riders with a mix of flat stages, individual time trials, and formidable mountain ascents.  Marking a historic first, the 2025 Giro will commence in Albania. The opening stage features a medium-mountain route between Durrës and Tirana, setting the tone for an unpredictable race. 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships – Glasgow Scotland

The biggest cycling event in the world will be held in Scotland from 3-13 August 2023. The world’s greatest riders will come together in Glasgow and across Scotland to compete at the highest level, make history and show the world the power of the bike.  For the first time in cycling history, the 13 existing championships will be combined into one mega-event where more than 8,000 amateur and elite cyclists from more than 120 countries will compete for 190 rainbow jerseys. 5th KLM Aruba Marathon

The Caribbean island of Aruba will be hosting a running festival with multiple race distances in June 2023. On Saturday 3 June a 5k event will take place, then on Sunday 4 June there will be a 10k, half-marathon (21.1k) and marathon (42.2k). Known as “One Happy Marathon” the big Sunday event sees the full marathon start at 3.15am, the half-marathon at 5.15am and the 10K at 6.15am – this allows all runners to “finish on the beach” at approximately the same time. 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup

This year’s Fiba Basketball World Cup is the first ever to be hosted by multiple countries – Philippines, Japan and Indonesia. Taking place from 25 August to 10 September 2023, the 32-nation men’s basketball tournament will be held at five venues in three host cities: Okinawa Arena – Okinawa, Japan Indonesia ArenA – Jakarta, Indonesia Araneta Coliseum – Manila, Philippines Mall of Asia Arena – Manila, Philippines Philippine Arena – Manila, Philippines Over the 17 days there will be 92 games in total. The World Games 2025 Chengdu

The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association, organised with the support of the International Olympic Committee. The World Games 2022 – which was held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA – saw 3,600 athletes from 34 sports and 100 countries take part. The 2024 Nitto ATP Finals, the finale of the ATP Tour men’s tennis season, will take place from 10-17 November 2024 at Pala Alpitour in Turin, Italy. Tennis: 2023 Laver Cup Vancouver

The Laver Cup, the popular men’s tennis team event, will be held in 2023 in Vancouver, Canada. Taking place at the Rogers Arena from 22-24 September 2023, the competition will see Team Europe take on Team World in singles and doubles. Bjorn Borg is the captain of Team Europe and John McEnroe is the captain of Team World. The winning team must reach 13 points to lift the trophy.
