Darts: 2023 Cazoo Premier League schedule and venues confirmed by PDC

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has confirmed the event schedule and venues for the 2023 Cazoo Premier League season. There will be 17 venues on the calendar, with events taking place on Thursday nights from February to May. The new season will start at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Thursday 2 February and the play-offs will be held at The O2 in London, England on Thursday 25 May.  In a news release, the PDC also confirmed that the 2023 Cazoo Premier League season will retain the same format as introduced in 2022. Ice hockey: 2023 NHL Winter Classic

Fenway Park, home of Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox, will host the NHL Winter Classic on Monday 2 January 2023. The NHL regular-season outdoor game will see the Boston Bruins take on the Pittsburgh Penguins.  “The game continues the tradition the League established in 2008 of hosting a regular-season outdoor game at the onset of the new year, with the 2023 edition marking the 15-year anniversary of the first NHL Winter Classic in Buffalo,” NHL.com said. “The game will mark the fifth NHL regular-season outdoor game for the Bruins and the second time the game has been hosted at Fenway Park. Football: Fifa Women’s World Cup 2023 Australia & New Zealand

The ninth edition of the Fifa Women’s World Cup will be held from Thursday 20 July to Sunday 20 August in Australia and New Zealand. The opening match and opening ceremony will take place at New Zealand’s Eden Park in Auckland and the final will be played at Stadium Australia in Sydney, Australia.  A tournament of firsts, the event is Australia’s biggest sporting event since the Rugby World Cup in 2003, with 32 nations playing 64 matches across nine host cities in Australia and New Zealand. The 2023 English FA Cup final will be held on Saturday 3 June 2023. It will be a Manchester derby at Wembley Stadium in London, with Manchester City taking on rivals Manchester United. Kick-off is at 3pm (BST).

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has confirmed that the 2023 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games will be held in El Sunzal / La Bocana from 30 May to 7 June 2023.  The games will serve as the second event in the Olympic Qualification process, with four slots up for grabs for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (to be held in Tahiti). In El Salvador, the four top ranked surfers by continent for each gender will qualify one place each by name. Fernando Aguerre, ISA president, said: “El Salvador continues to solidify itself as an essential part of the pathway to Olympic Surfing.
