Step off the tourist trail and onto Croatia’s spectacular Dalmatian coast and its islands with a seven-day hiking adventure. Offered by travel company Island Hopping, this journey combines rugged trails with boutique stays, weaving through hidden coves, historic towns, and breathtaking seascapes. Guided by local experts, travellers can uncover the authentic heart of Croatia – its culture, heritage, and natural beauty – one step at a time.
The “Croatia Island Explorer” trip begins in the ancient city of Split, looping through the picturesque islands of Brac and Hvar, before returning to Split’s scenic waterfront. Guests will follow historic trails and hike to breathtaking peaks, exploring iconic landmarks and stunning natural wonders along the way. Daily hikes average 5.8km with highlights including hiking to the Mirabella Fortress for sweeping Cetina Valley views and climbing Vidova Gora, Brac island’s highest peak, as well as enjoying a more relaxing day exploring the waterfalls of Krka National Park.
Three departures are being offered on 13, 20 or 27 October 2025, with a choice of dates in March, April, October and November 2026 also on offer.
The trip costs €1,469 (approx £1,272) per person for all departure dates, including six nights’ accommodation in boutique hotels, daily breakfast, two evening meals, daily hikes led by a hike guide, ferry tickets and port transfers, plus entrance into Krka National Park. Return travel to Split is not included. Prices are based on two sharing and are correct at the time of issue.
As well as the new tour of the Dalmatian coast, Island Hopping also offers eight-day hiking trips through Greece’s Cyclades Islands and nine- or 11-night Greek Island hopping trips aimed at 18 to 39-year-olds. The company is owned by Sail Croatia, which has been operating holidays in Croatia since 2003.
