Cricket: The Hundred 2022

Cricket competition The Hundred returns for its second year in summer 2022 in England and Wales.  Fixtures for the 2022 men’s and women’s competitions have been announced. The men’s action starts on Wednesday 3 August with Southern Brave vs. Welsh Fire at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton and women’s fixtures begin on Thursday 11 August with Oval Invincibles vs. Northern Superchargers at The Kia Oval in London. There will be a double header for the finals on Saturday 3 September at Lord’s in London. The women’s final begins at 3pm and the men’s final is at 6.30pm.  The entertainment line-up for 2022 features bands such as Bastille, who will headline the final at Lord’s. 2022 Six Nations: men’s and women’s fixtures

International rugby union will be a major focus on the sporting schedule in early 2022 when the Guinness Six Nations championship takes place in Europe.  Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England, France and Italy will be competing for the men's championship, which starts on Saturday 5 February and finishes on Saturday 19 March 2022. Hajar Mountain Adventures launched in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

Ras Al Khaimah is giving outdoor enthusiasts the chance to reach new professional and personal heights with the launch of Hajar Mountain Adventures – the first certified adventure training company in the UAE that will teach the skills needed to join the growing field of adventure tourism. The first Mountain Leader training courses start on 15 January 2022, and in line with the new UAE working schedule, will take place over three weekends. Licensed and authorised by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, the new entity will offer fundamental skills training and leadership and assessment courses covering hiking, climbing, abseiling, canyoneering and mountaineering. Rugby union: The Varsity Matches 2022 

The Oxford and Cambridge men and women rugby union teams go head to head at Twickenham Stadium in London on Saturday 2 April 2022. The 2022 Varsity Matches mark the 150th anniversary of the first meeting between the universities.  The first Varsity Match was played at The Parks, Oxford, on 10 February 1872 when Oxford won 1-0 in a 20-a-side match. European Taekwondo Championships Manchester 2022

The ​​all-British battle between middleweight boxing rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Williams will be held on 5 February 2022 at Motorpoint Arena Cardiff in Wales. Originally scheduled for December, the bout was rearranged after Williams suffered a recurrence of a shoulder injury.
