2022 ISA World Surfing Games in ‘Surf City USA’ 

The International Surfing Association’s flagship event, presented by Visit Huntington Beach, returns to “Surf City USA” for the first time since 2006. Huntington Beach has played a historic role for the sport of surfing, having hosted top-tier global events. The 2022 ISA World Surfing Games will be the seventh major ISA event held in Surf City USA after the city hosted three editions of the ISA World Surfing Games in 1984, 1996 and 2006, as well as the ISA World Juniors in 2005, 2018 and 2019.  Huntington Beach Pier (ISA/Ben Reed)

‘Surf City USA’ Huntington Beach to host 2022 ISA World Surfing Games 

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has announced that Huntington Beach in California, USA, will be the host of the 2022 ISA World Surfing Games from 17-24 September.  In a significant innovation to the Olympic Surfing Qualification System, the winning men’s and women’s national teams at these World Surfing Games will be allocated one Olympic slot each for their respective country/National Olympic Committee (NOC). 2023 BTCC calendar unveiled: Donington Park GP makes return

The 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTTC) calendar has been announced by series organisers TOCA. After completing just three events of the 2022 campaign so far, the motorsport series has already locked down its dates for next year, with a return to the Donington Park GP circuit arguably producing the most significant headline. NFL 2022 Mexico City Game: San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals

The NFL International Series will return to Mexico City on 21 November 2022 with Monday Night Football. Estadio Azteca will host NFC West rivals San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals in a rematch of the NFL’s first regular-season game played outside the United States. In 2005, the teams played at the Estadio Azteca with 103,467 fans in attendance, the eighth largest crowd in NFL history.      

NFL 2022 Munich Game: Seattle Seahawks vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Germany, the two-time Super Bowl champions and current NFC South champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by quarterback Tom Brady, will face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday November 13. As previously announced, Munich and Frankfurt were chosen to stage regular-season games in Germany over the next four years. The first game will take place at Allianz Arena – home of FC Bayern Munich.   

NFL 2022 London Game: Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

After two matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the 2022 NFL London action shifts to Wembley Stadium on Sunday 30 October. Jacksonville Jaguars, who played at Tottenham last season, return to Wembley for the first time since 2019, having played there for seven straight seasons. They will face the Denver Broncos who are making their first trip to the UK since they last played at Wembley in 2010.  

NFL 2022 London Game: New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers

The NFL’s 2022 International Games will kick off with back-to-back weekends at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (2 October and 9 October), followed by one match at Wembley Stadium in London (30 October), one in Munich, Germany (13 November), and one in Mexico City (21 November).  On Sunday 9 October, the Green Bay Packers, NFC North champions for the third consecutive year, will face the New York Giants in their first international trip, becoming the 32nd NFL team to play in London since 2007. Giants will play in the UK for the third time, having won both the inaugural London game at Wembley Stadium in 2007 and the first game played at Twickenham Stadium in 2016. This will be their first game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 

NFL 2022 London Game: Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints

The NFL’s 2022 International Games will kick off with back-to-back weekends at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (2 October and 9 October), followed by one match at Wembley Stadium in London (30 October), one in Munich, Germany (13 November), and one in Mexico City (21 November).  The New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings will each play in the UK for the third time.  Both teams have won on two previous occasions in the UK and will make their debut at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 2 October.

2023 UK Athletics Championships Manchester

The 2023 UK Athletics Championships will be held from 8-9 July at the Manchester Regional Arena in Manchester, England. More than 800 athletes will compete across two days of action with places on the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the World Athletics Championships Budapest 2023 on the line. MLB Home Run Derby X London

Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby X will be held in London’s Crystal Palace Park on Saturday 9 July 2022. The competition will feature four historic franchises: the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. According to the MLB, each team will include a former player (Legend), a softball or women's baseball star (Superstar), a player from that region's local development system (Rookie), and an influential content creator (Wild Card).  A full day festival experience, the event will feature interactive baseball-inspired activities, ballpark food, fashion and gaming alongside four Home Run Derby X games. Major League Baseball hits a home run for London’s sports tourism portfolio

London’s position as a leading international sports city has been strengthened after a new long-term partnership was agreed with Major League Baseball (MLB). It has been confirmed that regular-season MLB matches will return to the UK capital in 2023, 2024 and 2026.  The first MLB London Series match to be played in the UK was in 2019 when the Boston Red Sox took on the New York Yankees in two games at the London Stadium.
