Women’s football: The Arnold Clark Cup 2022

In February 2022 four of the world’s top women’s international football teams – hosts England, Canada, Germany and Spain – will compete in the inaugural edition of The Arnold Clark Cup.  The round-robin tournament will see each nation play a match at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, Carrow Road in Norwich and Molineux in Wolverhampton. Fifa Club World Cup UAE

The 2021 edition of the Fifa Club World Cup will be played in 2022 from 3-12 February in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Games will take place at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium and Al Nahyan Stadium.  Participating teams include the champions of Concacaf (Monterrey), Uefa (Chelsea), CONMEBOL (SE Palmeiras), the AFC (Al Hilal SFC), and CAF (Al Ahly SC), Al Jazira from the UAE, and the OFC representative, AS Pirae. 2022 NFL Draft

The 2022 NFL Draft will be held from 28-30 April in Las Vegas, Nevada, US. Steve Hill, CEO and president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), said: “We’re thrilled the NFL has given us the opportunity to host the Draft in Las Vegas in 2022. We plan to make the 87th annual NFL Draft an ‘Only Vegas’ experience football fans will never forget.” Caesars Entertainment will host the NFL Draft Main Stage, which will be constructed next to the Caesars Forum Conference Centre. Tennis superstar Emma Raducanu has been named as the new global brand ambassador of British Airways. The airline will support the British player and will fly her to tournaments and training around the world, including next year’s French Open and US Open and the Masters events in California and Rome. The 16 countries set to compete in the third edition of the ATP Cup, which will feature 18 of the top 20 players in the FedEx ATP Rankings, were assigned to four groups at the official tournament draw in Australia. The team event will take place in Sydney from 1-9 January 2022. Top seeds Serbia, headlined by world No.1 Novak Djokovic, will lead Group A, which also features Norway, Chile and Spain. Cycling holidays in 2022: Tour de France in Morzine, French Alps

The 109th edition of the Tour de France is set to include the French village of Morzine in the Portes du Soleil in summer 2022. It is the first time in six years since the cycling competition has been hosted in the Alpine resort, and the 21st occasion that it has been staged in Morzine since 1975.  After a stage finish in nearby Châtel on Sunday 10 July, competitors, spectators and the media will have the opportunity to enjoy a rest day in Morzine on Monday 11 July.
